TUSCALOOSA, AL – Theatre Tuscaloosa Executive Producer Tina Turley and Managing Director Adam Miller host a brand-new podcast, “Brewing Theatre,” now available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music and more.
“Brewing Theatre with Tina and Adam” is a new bi-weekly podcast where Turley and Miller sit down to discuss all things theatre over a cup of coffee. Topics range from Theatre Tuscaloosa’s current season, how shows are selected, Miller’s cat’s shenanigans, and whether sugar in cornbread makes it corn cake. Listeners are invited to tune in with their own cup of coffee to learn more about the inner workings of running a community theatre.
“We thought starting a podcast would be a fun way to engage with our audience in a more personal way,” Turley said. “I love chatting and cutting up with Adam, and I feel like audiences don’t get to see that side of us much.”
Turley and Miller have worked together for almost 30 years, and that history shines through in their chemistry on the podcast. “Brewing Theatre” is presented in two formats for the first two episodes: video and audio. Listeners curious to see Turley and Miller on camera during their coffee chat can watch on Spotify for free.
“I love being on camera, even though podcasts are traditionally audio-only,” Miller said. “There is something special about seeing two people laughing together, talking about what they love. I love working with Tina, and since this is her last season, we thought a podcast would be a wonderful way to capture her expertise and spirit with us forever.”
