About the Course
In this intensive introduction to the world of theatrical violence, we will work together to find the movement vocabulary our bodies create when words fail and violence is the only course of action. Guided by movement specialist Rowan Johnson, students will learn how to find emotionally safe connection with their scene partners, explore the language of partnership, and practice industry standards of unarmed technique for the stage. Each partnership will emerge with a custom phrase of choreography they are welcome to record and use in their own repertoire.
